SERVICES

TECHNICAL ADVISORY

OGL assists clients in evaluating the geomatics methods best suited to their project constraints, including airborne LiDAR acquisition, photogrammetry, fixed-wing aerial surveying, sensor calibrations, meteorological data, and UAV-based data collection. Advisory engagements consider accuracy requirements, site access, regulatory compliance, airspace restrictions, and budget to identify the most appropriate and cost-effective approach for each program.

PROJECT PLANNING & SPECIFICATIONS

OGL develops detailed geomatics project specifications covering flight plan design for aerial surveys, ground control point requirements, accuracy standards, and data collection protocols. Deliverables are structured to satisfy both project objectives and applicable regulatory standards, ensuring survey programs are well-documented.

SERVICES

DATA PROCESSING & ANALYSIS

OGL supports clients through the processing of raw geospatial data including stereo imagery, orthophoto production, terra-matching, and alignment correcting LiDAR, mobile mapping data, GPS-INS data, and 3D LiDAR classification automation. Specialized analyses such as NDVI vegetation monitoring, utility corridor assessments, and vegetation encroachment detection for conductor catenary clearance are available depending on project scope and requirements.

QUALITY ASSURANCE & VALIDATION

OGL performs independent verification of geospatial datasets to confirm that accuracy thresholds have been met and that coordinate reference systems comply with provincial and applicable industry standards. QA procedures are fully documented to support client reporting, regulatory submissions, and third-party audits.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

OGL assists clients in ensuring that survey programs and delivered spatial datasets satisfy applicable provincial engineering standards and regulatory requirements. This includes delivery of data in prescribed formats and coordinate systems, and preparation of documentation required for compliance submissions, including vegetation management programs subject to standards such as FAC-003.

ENVIRONMENTAL & VEGETATION MONITORING

OGL provides remote sensing-based environmental monitoring services, including vegetation classification, land use change detection, and multi-temporal analysis. These services support transmission and distribution corridor management, environmental impact assessment, and long-term infrastructure monitoring programs where documented, repeatable analysis is required.

AI INFRASTRUCTURE & GEOSPATIAL COMPUTING

OGL advises on and builds purpose-configured servers for AI development and high-volume geospatial data processing. Engagements include hardware selection, network architecture, and storage configuration tailored to machine learning workflows, automated feature extraction, and large-format point cloud processing pipelines.
